The Crimson War
The Crimson War is a blight upon the recent history of the Chapter - and even now, despite the eccentricity and short-term memory of most legionnaires, it is still not completely forgotten.
Loyal brother fought loyal brother, and Swedesia was soaked red with blood - blood of kindred battle-brothers, sworn to The Master of Mankind, upon his golden throne.
The name of the conflict has a duel meaning - It attributes to the Crimson Tigers, who decided to recklessly throw themselves agianst the Alfa Legion out of zealotry and conviction, and it attributes to the amount of bloodshed caused in the war, and the subsequent grudges and bad blood between the two chapters afterward.
Most of the war took place on Swedesia itself, but it has played out outside of Subsector Scandavius as well, and conflicts has happened here and there before the unexpected, great finale for a vicous cold war.

Pre-Invasion
The Alfa Legion and the Crimson Tigers barely met each other - the only circumstance was during the Age of Apostasy, when the Adeptus Astartes rose up to challenge Gorge Vandire, and give their support to Sebastian Thor. The two Chapters became intense rivals as the fighting dragged on, and eventually after Vandire's death, they went on their seperate ways.
Later however, nearing the 42nd Millennium, they would come into contact once more - and the mere sight of the Alfa Legionnaires in their current state outraged the Crimson Tigers to the point that they became as red as their helmets with rage. Almost pernamentally.
They would massacre the said Legionnaires, their allies, and anyone affiliated with them on the spot. Then their Chapter Master Retinens The Hero declared war on the Alfa Legion itself, proclaiming them to be heretics with only one sentence for them; death.
Back on Swedesia, the Planetary Defence Forces, for some inexplicable reason, suddenly rose up in revolt - they heard of Retinen's declaration of war on the Alfa Legion, and sought to put a dent into the so-called condemned chapter. Whether they did this out of fear or zeal has been forgotten by most - but suffice to say, there was a planetary purge of the garrison. It took a while for the population itself to recover from the shock of it all later.
